BRC campaigns for the retail industry and is the authoritative voice of retail, recognised for its powerful campaigning and influence within government and as a provider of in-depth retail information. In addition, the BRC produce standards that manufacturers have to comply with, in different product areas, such as food, packaging and consumer products. Companies exporting to the UK have to reach the BRC's standards to be certified via their own inspectors. It developed a new purpose-built headquarters on Aston Way. At 17,500 sq. ft., the business now has four times more factory space than it had at its previous site on Vantage Way. The company has bought new equipment to double the capacity of its production process in a move that has also created six jobs. It has recently moved to purpose-built headquarters on Aston Way. At 17,500 sq ft, the business now has four times more factory space than it had at its previous site on Vantage Way. Harkwell Labels required larger space to improve its efficiency and introduce new machinery to increase production speed and capacity. Lloyds Bank's commercial finance team was able to provide a £900,000 hire purchase facility. Tim Fountain, managing director at Harkwell Labels, said: "With the recent move to our new headquarters, we've entered an exciting new chapter of growth. We're looking forward to building on this momentum with the arrival of our new team members, alongside increasing production capacity." Steve Mountain, regional manager at Lloyds Bank Commercial Finance, added: "The new equipment has given Harkwell Labels the chance to expand its business and up its productivity allowing them to boost sales in the coming year."
